Recap: Rocky Grove Orioles vs. Union City Bears
The Rocky Grove Orioles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 71-14 loss at the hands of Union City. Rocky Grove has struggled against Union City recently, as their match on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
It was another big night for Cathryn Reynolds, who scored 23 points along with three steals for Union City. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Reynolds has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Cheyenne Cummings, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds.
Rocky Grove has not been sharp recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season. As for Union City, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Rocky Grove will square off against Saegertown at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Saegertown is on a four-game streak of home losses, Rocky Grove a three-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. Union City will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Cochranton at 7:15 p.m. on January 25th. Hopefully Cochranton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 on Monday.
