Saint Joseph takes loss despite strong efforts from Leah Zabukovac and Olivia Molina

Recap: Saint Joseph Jesters vs. Crossroads Roadrunners

After flying high against the Mary Star of the Sea Stars last Thursday, the Saint Joseph Jesters came back down to earth. Saint Joseph was beaten by Crossroads 62-32 on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Saint Joseph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 480th, while Crossroads is ranked 184th).

Olivia Molina and Leah Zabukovac certainly did their best on Saturday to try and avoid the loss. Molina scored six points along with five rebounds, while Zabukovac scored five points along with eight rebounds.

Saint Joseph's loss dropped their record down to 11-6. As for Crossroads, their win bumped their record up to 14-7.

Saint Joseph on the road again on Monday and play against Geffen Academy at 10:30 a.m. on January 15th. Geffen Academy will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak. As for Crossroads, they will square off against Crenshaw at 3:00 p.m. on Monday.
