Basketball Recap: Oceanside Takes Down Morse in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Oceanside had no problem doing just that on Wednesday. They blew past the Morse Tigers 62-37.

Martina Griffin was her usual excellent self, going 8-for-18 on her way to 20 points along with eight steals and six assists. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. Alana Hoskins was another key player, going 6-for-10 to rack up 15 points in addition to five boards and three steals.

Oceanside's victory bumped their record up to 13-14. As for Morse, their defeat was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 15-12.

Oceanside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 45-40 loss against Rancho Buena Vista on the 22nd. Morse does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
