Softball Recap: Hooker Takes a Loss

Beaver hit Hooker with a four-run second inning on Saturday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Bulldogs fell 9-6 to the Dusters. The Bulldogs have struggled against the Dusters recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Sammi Butler was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Kinley McGaha also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Hooker's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Beaver, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-7.

Coming up, Hooker will head out to challenge Turpin at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least ten runs in their last four matchups. As for Beaver, they will welcome Fargo/Gage/Sharon-Mutual at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
