Recap: Union Mine Diamondbacks vs. Liberty Ranch Hawks
The Union Mine Diamondbacks suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. Their tough 58-33 loss to Liberty Ranch might stick with them for a while. Union Mine has not had much luck with Liberty Ranch recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Several Diamondbacks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kyra Wooden, who scored nine points along with two steals and two blocks. Kamdyn Keeler was another key contributor, scoring seven points.
Union Mine's defeat dropped their record down to 14-10. As for Liberty Ranch, they pushed their record up to 19-5 with that win, which was their 15th straight at home.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Union Mine will face off against Rosemont at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Liberty Ranch, they will head out on the road to take on Bradshaw Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Bradshaw Christian has now lost 14 straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 27.
