Baseball Recap: Lovejoy Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Lovejoy can now relate to. They lost 15-2 to Dunwoody on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Dunwoody this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on Wednesday.

Lovejoy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Anthony Finkley, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Lovejoy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-14-1 record this season. As for Dunwoody, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 29-3.

As of now, neither Lovejoy nor Dunwoody have any future games scheduled.
