Preview: San Gabriel Academy Eagles vs. Temple City Rams
San Gabriel Academy has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will face off against the Temple City Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, San Gabriel Academy beat St. Genevieve 39-30.
Meanwhile, Temple City scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They breezed by Blair at home to the tune of 66-7. That looming 66-7 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Temple City yet this season.
Kristi Huynh was her usual excellent self, scoring ten points along with eight steals and six assists. Those six assists set a new season-high mark for her. Tallulah Trieu was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five assists.
The victory got San Gabriel Academy back to even at 2-2. As for Temple City, they pushed their record up to 6-7 with that victory, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season.
