Football Recap: West Henderson Starts Season with Win at Home + How To Watch

West Henderson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They managed a 27-21 victory over the Erwin Warriors. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

West Henderson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zane McCraw, who rushed for 140 yards and a pair of TDs, and also picked up 52 receiving yards. That's the most rushing yards McCraw has posted since back in October of 2024. Cade Young was another key signal caller, throwing for 268 yards and two touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Despite the loss, Erwin still got an impressive performance from Caden Ingle, who threw for 217 yards and a pair of TDs.

Coming up, West Henderson will square off against Hendersonville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Erwin, they will challenge Mountain Heritage at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
