Baseball Recap: Superior Find Success

Superior posted their closest win since May 4th on Tuesday. They skirted past the Northwestern Tigers 7-6. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Dawson Ahlborg, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that he has snagged this season. Sam Hubbard was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

The victory got Superior back to even at 11-11. As for Northwestern, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 15-6 record.

Superior does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Northwestern, they will face off against Phillips at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Loggers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.17 runs per game on average), something the Tigers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
