Soccer Recap: Foshay Takes a Loss

Foshay managed to keep up with GALA until halftime on Friday, but things quickly went downhill from there. The Foshay Wolverines came up short against the GALA Goddesses, falling 10-0. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 544th, while the Goddesses are ranked 117th).

Foshay's defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-2. As for GALA, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Foshay will welcome Harbor Teacher at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Foshay's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end. As for GALA, they will be playing at home against King/Drew at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. GALA is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.7 goals per game this season.
