Softball Recap: Omaha Westside Wins High-Profile Contest Against Elkhorn South

Omaha Westside faced Elkhorn South in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Warriors skirted past the Storm 3-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Warriors.

Hannah Miller spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on four hits and racked up eight Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Omaha Westside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hadley Hansen, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI. Emma Kauffman was another, going 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Omaha Westside's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Elkhorn South, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 20-12.

As of now, neither Omaha Westside nor the Storm have any future games scheduled.
