Basketball Recap: KIPP SF College Prep Starts Season with Loss at Home

KIPP SF College Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 34-27 to the Balboa Buccaneers on Monday. The Phoenix have struggled against the Buccaneers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Balboa's victory ended a 14-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

KIPP SF College Prep will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Immaculate Conception at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd. As for Balboa, they will take on Wallenberg at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
