Baseball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Brooks

Brooks had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They came out on top against the St. George's Dragons by a score of 6-3. That's two games straight that Brooks has won by exactly three runs.

Jonathan Stokes and Andrew Martin did most of the damage at the plate: Stokes went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Martin got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. That's the most stolen bases Martin has posted since back in April. Carson Cobb also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Brooks' win bumped their record up to 6-11. As for St. George's, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Brooks is set to take on their familiar foe Belmont Hill at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, St. George's will face off against rival Middlesex at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
