Basketball Game Preview: Wilcox-Hildreth Falcons vs. Alma Cardinals

Wilcox-Hildreth is 2-8 against Alma since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Falcons will welcome the Cardinals at 6:00 p.m.

Wilcox-Hildreth is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Sumner-Eddyville-Miller on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Falcons came up short against the Mustangs, falling 53-29.

Despite the defeat, Wilcox-Hildreth saw an underclassman step up: freshman Kinley Hansen posted 11 points and seven boards.

Meanwhile, Alma strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They really took it to Blue Hill for the full four quarters, racking up a 52-11 victory. The team ran away with 40 points in the first half and mostly just sat on those to pick up the win.

Wilcox-Hildreth's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Alma, their victory bumped their record up to 3-0.
