Softball Recap: Lincoln Northeast Takes a Loss

Lincoln Northeast lost against Marian back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Rockets fell just short of the Crusaders by a score of 14-13. The Rockets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dezi Swenson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn VanDyke, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.

Lincoln Northeast's loss dropped their record down to 8-16. As for Marian, their record now sits at 9-13.

Lincoln Northeast didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 10-0 defeat against Lincoln Southwest on the 27th. As for Marian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 10-5 win against Pius X on the 27th.
