Football Game Preview: Taft Toreadors vs. Chatsworth Chancellors + How To Watch

The Taft Toreadors will face off against the Chatsworth Chancellors at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Taft has given up an average of 25.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Taft lost to Granada Hills Charter at home by a 46-30 margin. The Toreadors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Wesley Parvizi, who picked up 123 receiving yards and two TDs, and also punched in one touchdown on the ground. His receiving production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 104 receiving yards. Another pass catcher making a difference was Erik Koron, who picked up 105 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Meanwhile, Chatsworth ended up a good deal behind Cleveland on Friday and lost 36-19. The defeat continues a trend for the Chancellors in their meetings with the Cavaliers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Taft's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Chatsworth, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Taft came up short against Chatsworth when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 24-20. Thankfully for the Toreadors, Jesse Leon (who rushed for 158 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.9 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
