Ada's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Lone Grove, the victory was the 26th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Longhorns beat Ada by a score of 11-0 later that day.
