Basketball Recap: GRACE Christian Skates Past Wayne Christian with Ease

Fans were treated to a battle of the Eagles on Tuesday. GRACE Christian claimed a resounding 75-48 victory over Wayne Christian. GRACE Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 27 points or more this season.

GRACE Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chris Phillips led the charge by as he made all 5 shots he took to post 13 points along with five assists and five rebounds. Those 13 points gave Phillips a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Braylen McRae, who went 7-for-15 to rack up 18 points in addition to five boards and five steals.

GRACE Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.4 points over those games. As for Wayne Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coming up, GRACE Christian will challenge Grace Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense better be ready for this one: the Crusaders have averaged an impressive 66.8 points per game this season. As for Wayne Christian, they will take on Coastal Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Centurions have been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
