Basketball Recap: Sarina Ulep Rodriguez Key Part of a Team Effort in Centurions Win

Cypress won the last time they faced Aliso Niguel and things went their way on Friday too. The Cypress Centurions enjoyed a cozy 50-35 win over the Aliso Niguel Wolverines.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Cypress to victory, but perhaps none more so than Sarina Ulep Rodriguez, who went 7 of 15 on her way to 17 points and three steals. Ulep Rodriguez is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Leah Shigekawa, who posted six points along with eight boards and five assists.

Cypress' record is now 8-6. As for Aliso Niguel, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-6.

Cypress didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, an 80-40 loss against Mountainside on the 28th. As for Aliso Niguel, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 51-25 defeat against Huntington Beach on the 28th.
