Softball Recap: Akron-Westfield's Loss Ends Five-Game Winning Streak on the Road

After flying high against Western Christian on Saturday, Akron-Westfield came back down to earth. The Westerners fell 8-5 to the West Lyon Wildcats on Saturday. The Westerners were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in June of 2024.

Akron-Westfield's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-2. As for West Lyon, the win keeps they at an undefeated 19-0.

Akron-Westfield didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 victory against Hinton on the 23rd. As for West Lyon, they have also already played their next match, a 6-4 win against Unity Christian on the 23rd.
