Baseball Recap: Burlington Takes a Loss

Burlington was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 12-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mt. Mansfield Cougars. If the Seahorses were looking for revenge after losing 10-5 to the Cougars when the teams met back in May of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Colton Bramhall was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That double was his first of the season. Graham McNeil was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Burlington's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Mt. Mansfield, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-8.

Looking ahead, Burlington will challenge Champlain Valley Union at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Mt. Mansfield, they will be playing at home against Colchester at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Lakers will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Cougars surely won't give up without a fight.
