Softball Recap: River Forest Comes Up Short

River Forest lost to Wheeler back in April and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Ingots lost 16-1 to the Bearcats. The Ingots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

River Forest saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Witt, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

River Forest's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Wheeler, they moved to 15-10 with that win, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Looking ahead, River Forest will head out to take on Merrillville at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.82 runs per game on average), something the Ingots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Wheeler, they will challenge Glenn at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bearcats' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Falcons have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season.
