Basketball Recap: Grand Terrace Falls Short of Great Oak in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Grand Terrace can now relate to. They fell 58-49 to the Great Oak Wolfpack on Thursday.

When it comes to explaining why Grand Terrace lost, don't look at Samyah Green. Despite the final result, she posted 20 points and eight boards. Jayleen Barajas was another key player, putting up 14 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals.

Even though they lost, Grand Terrace smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in 12 consecutive matchups.

Grand Terrace's defeat dropped their record down to 20-7. As for Great Oak, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a massive bump to their 12-13 record this season.

As of now, neither Grand Terrace nor Great Oak have any future games scheduled.
