Recap: La Jolla vs. Mira Mesa
La Jolla won against Mira Mesa last Thursday with two goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Tuesday. La Jolla didn't even let Mira Mesa onto the board and left with a 2-0 win. Winning may never get old, but La Jolla sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
They were led to victory by the tag-team duo of
Lily Mebust and
Ruby Davis, who scored both of La Jolla's goals. The pair have combined for a total of two so far this season.
La Jolla pushed their record up to 8-2-4 with that victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Mira Mesa, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8-4.
La Jolla will head out on the road to challenge Mission Bay at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Mission Bay's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Mira Mesa, they will be playing in front of their home fans against San Diego at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
