Baseball Recap: Cass Comes Up Short

Cass was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to the Allatoona Buccaneers. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Buccaneers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 3-2 loss on Friday.

Cass' defeat dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Allatoona, the win (which was their 13th in a row) raised their record to 21-3.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Cass is set to challenge their familiar foe Woodland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Allatoona will take on rival Hiram at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. The timing is sure in the Buccaneers' favor as the squad sits on 16 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while the Hornets have been banged up by five consecutive losses on the road.
