Baseball Recap: Georgia Christian Beats Open Bible Christian for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Georgia Christian had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Open Bible Christian a 17-0 shutout. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 18-0 on March 3rd.

Benji Galindo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and only one walk). Galindo was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those three runs gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Colton Hall was a standout: he went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in April of 2024. Bo Miller also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Georgia Christian was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Open Bible Christian only posted a batting average of .182.

Georgia Christian pushed their record up to 10-1 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Open Bible Christian, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Looking ahead, Georgia Christian is taking a road trip to face off against Sherwood Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Open Bible Christian, they will face off against First Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
