Volleyball Game Preview: Manzano Monarchs vs. Eldorado Golden Eagles

Manzano is 2-8 against Eldorado since November of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Monarchs will welcome the Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

Manzano lost 3-0 to La Cueva on Tuesday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-16, 25-15.

Meanwhile, Eldorado came into Tuesday's contest having lost six straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They put the hurt on Capital with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 23rd (when they won 3-0).

While Eldorado might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Capital scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-21, 25-22.

Manzano's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Eldorado, their victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 7-11.

Manzano came out on top in a nail-biter against Eldorado when the teams last played two weeks ago, sneaking past 3-2. Will the Monarchs repeat their success, or do the Golden Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
