Preview: West Valley Mustangs vs. Perris Panthers
The West Valley Mustangs will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Perris Panthers at 5:30 p.m. West Valley is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
West Valley's 16-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They had to suffer through a rough 70-14 loss at the hands of San Jacinto. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points West Valley has scored all season.
Perris suffered their biggest loss since November 17, 2023 on Tuesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 59-36 walloping at the hands of Liberty. Perris has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
West Valley bumped their record down to 0-6 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Perris, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Everything came up roses for West Valley against Perris in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 64-21 win. Will West Valley repeat their success, or does Perris have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
