Trinity Catholic let South Sumter stack eight runs on them in the second inning on Wednesday but luckily Trinity Catholic prevailed anyway. The Celtics sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 16-15 victory over the Raiders. For the Celtics, this counts as revenge for the 7-6 win the Raiders walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2025.

Trinity Catholic has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.5 runs this season. As for South Sumter, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Coming up, Trinity Catholic will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against North Marion at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Sumter, they will head out to take on Bishop McLaughlin Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
