Soccer Recap: Mountain View Triumphs

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Mountain View had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They skirted past the Evergreen Valley Cougars 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Spartans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Charlotte Higgins was the driving force of Mountain View's attack as she scored both of Mountain View's goals, bringing her season total up to seven goals.

Mountain View is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season. Evergreen Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 11-7.

Looking ahead, Mountain View will head out to challenge Palo Alto at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mountain View's last six matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. Evergreen Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
