Baseball Recap: Worcester Academy Takes Down Ranked Deerfield Academy

Worcester Academy faced Deerfield Academy in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Hilltoppers came out on top in a nail-biter against the Big Green, sneaking past 7-6. The Hilltoppers haven't had any issues with the Big Green recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bobby DiFranco looked comfortable as he tossed 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lucas Stockenberg, who went 2-for-4 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mark Kenton, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Worcester Academy's victory bumped their record up to 14-4. As for Deerfield Academy, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 13-10.
