Basketball Recap: Burton Snaps Three-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

If Burton was feeling good fresh off their 46-8 takedown of Wallenberg last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Burton Pumas received a blow on Thursday as they fell 38-24 to the Balboa Buccaneers. The Pumas were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Buccaneers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2020.

Burton's loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-9. As for Balboa, their win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-7.

Burton won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Balboa, they and Mercy will face off at 5:30 p.m. on Friday without much rest having both just played.
