Football Game Preview: Chico Panthers vs. Foothill Cougars + How To Watch

The Chico Panthers will challenge the Foothill Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chico will be strutting in after a win while Foothill will be coming in after a defeat.

Chico took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Shasta 40-10. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five contests by 20 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Foothill unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 38-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pleasant Valley. While losing is never fun, the Cougars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 219th, while the Vikings are ranked 109th).

Chico will have to contain Turner Knowles as he made an impact in Foothill's last game. He rushed for 103 yards and three scores. Carson Anderson was another key player, picking up 101 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Chico pushed their record up to 7-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points over those games. As for Foothill, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4.
