Basketball Game Preview: Northwest Area Rangers vs. Benton Tigers

The Northwest Area Rangers are taking a road trip to square off against the Benton Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Northwest Area will be looking to extend their current ten-game winning streak.

Last Friday, Northwest Area was fully in charge, breezing past Sullivan County 65-14. The Rangers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 14 contests by 24 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Benton was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 41-35 to Northwest Area.

Northwest Area pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 20.9 points over those games. As for Benton, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-7.

Northwest Area didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Benton in their previous matchup on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 41-35 victory.
