South Gwinnett is a perfect 10-0 against Newton since March of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The South Gwinnett Comets will look to defend their home pitch against the Newton Rams at 7:30 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for South Gwinnett and three for Newton.

Things were looking good for South Gwinnett after they put the first points on the board on Friday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Archer by a score of 2-1.

Meanwhile, Newton didn't have quite enough to beat Rockdale County last Friday and fell 2-1.

South Gwinnett's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Newton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

South Gwinnett took their victory against Newton in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 4-0. Will South Gwinnett repeat their success, or does Newton have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
