Football Recap: Old Bridge Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

After losing to Morristown the last time they met, Old Bridge decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights put the hurt on the Colonials with a sharp 24-0 victory on Friday. Considering the Knights have won four contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The win was the third in a row for Old Bridge, bringing their record up to 5-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.0 points over those games. As for Morristown, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Old Bridge will host Monroe Township at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Morristown, they will venture away from home to challenge Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Colonials will be up against the Minutemen's rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.5 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
