Softball Recap: George Walton Academy Comes Up Short

George Walton Academy and Tattnall Square Academy squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but George Walton Academy had to settle for second. They took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost nine in a row.

George Walton Academy saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kyler Hannay, who went 1-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. Hannay is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games she's played. Kendall Woodbury also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

George Walton Academy now has a losing record of 13-14. As for Tattnall Square Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

As of now, neither George Walton Academy nor Tattnall Square Academy have any future games scheduled.
