Volleyball Recap: Xavier College Prep Picks Up Sixth Straight Win on the Road

Xavier College Prep had won six straight on the road, but on Wednesday they bumped up to 26-2 to make it seven. Everything went their way against the Sunnyslope Vikings as they made off with a 3-0 win. The Gators have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Vikings, too.

Xavier College Prep was led to victory by Mattea Saunders and Selah O'Connor. Saunders had 15 digs and two aces, while O'Connor had 16 assists. Saunders has been hot, having posted ten or more digs the last six times she's played.

As for Sunnyslope, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 19-11. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since October 1st.

When it comes to explaining why Sunnyslope lost, don't look at Emma Easton. Despite the final result, she had eight digs and two assists.

Xavier College Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Corona del Sol on the 16th. As for Sunnyslope, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against O'Connor on the 16th.
