Soccer Recap: Irwin County Comes Up Short

Irwin County fell victim to Metter and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 5-0 to the Tigers. While losing is never fun, Irwin County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 393rd, while Metter are ranked 148th).

Irwin County dropped their record down to 6-12 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Metter, their victory bumped their record up to 14-1.

Irwin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Metter, they will challenge Towns County at 5:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
