Basketball Recap: Ella Moses' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Port Allegany over Coudersport

If Port Allegany was feeling good fresh off their 44-22 takedown of Austin last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Port Allegany Gators lost to the Coudersport Falcons at home by a 59-41 margin on Wednesday. The Gators were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Falcons earlier this season, when they won 54-28.

Several Gators players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ella Moses, who dropped a double-double with 16 points and 13 rebounds. Moses has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 14 times she's played. Peyton Gordon was another key player, putting up six points and seven boards.

Port Allegany's loss dropped their record down to 17-5. As for Coudersport, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Port Allegany nor Coudersport have any future games scheduled.
