The Sutter Huskies will venture away from home to challenge the Rio Linda Knights at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sutter will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Tuesday, Sutter earned a 41-31 victory over Dixon. Given the Huskies' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 426th, while the Rams are ranked 865th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Torrence Harter was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 20 points, 13 rebounds, and 14 steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 47 games she's played dating back to last season. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Ketterling, who posted six points.
Sutter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive boards in seven consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Rio Linda on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew El Camino out of the water with a 66-35 final score. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.
Rio Linda's win came from a few key players Sutter will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was LaRay Mitchell, who dropped a triple-double on 13 points, 11 boards, and ten steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in steals. Kyrri Mitchell was another key player, going 8 for 17 en route to 20 points and six steals.
Rio Linda's win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 31.7 points. As for Sutter, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-7 record this season.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Sutter has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 38.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Rio Linda struggles in that department as they've been averaging 34.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Sutter might still be hurting after the 65-44 loss they got from Rio Linda in their previous matchup back in December of 2017. Can Sutter avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
