Softball Recap: Creekview Drops Season-High Score on Sequoyah

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Creekview). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sequoyah Chiefs a 16-0 shutout on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Grizzlies, who have now won six games by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Creekview and bumps their season record up to 10-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Sequoyah, they dropped their record down to 3-7 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Creekview will face off against rival River Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Sequoyah is set to take on their familiar foe Woodstock at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
