Basketball Recap: New Hope-Solebury Takes a Loss

If New Hope-Solebury was riding high fresh off their 46-24 takedown of Upper Moreland last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The New Hope-Solebury Lions fell just short of the Lower Moreland Lions by a score of 44-42 on Tuesday. New Hope-Solebury was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Lower Moreland earlier this season, when they won 53-42.

New Hope-Solebury dropped their record down to 9-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home. As for Lower Moreland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a massive bump to their 11-7 record this season.

New Hope-Solebury and Lower Moreland could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. New Hope-Solebury will face off against Cheltenham at 5:00 p.m. on Friday down 91 places (136 vs. 45). Meanwhile, Lower Moreland (ranked 155th) will meet Council Rock South (ranked 46th) at 6:05 p.m. on Thursday.
