Volleyball Recap: Compass Academy vs. Andrews Mustangs

After flying high against Big Spring on Tuesday, Compass Academy came back down to earth. Compass Academy came up short against the Andrews Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. Compass Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Andrews apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-13, 25-20.

Audra Wilson paced Compass Academy's offense, picking up six kills. Wilson got some help from Bella Carrasco and her ten assists.

Andrews' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Danlee Fisher led the charge by getting eight digs and five aces. With that strong performance, Fisher is now averaging an impressive 2.2 aces per game. Macie Miller was another key player, getting 11 digs.

Compass Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Andrews, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-3.
