Softball Recap: St. Pius X Triumphs

While St. Pius X's victory against Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Lancers won by a run and slipped past the Tigers 7-6. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lancers.

St. Pius X let Ellie Lang and Michaela Quick run wild. Lang went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base, while Quick went 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBI, and one run. That triple was Lang's first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jillian Taylor, who went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Pius X kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in four consecutive contests.

St. Pius X's record is now 3-13. As for Central, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

As of now, neither St. Pius X nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
