Softball Recap: New Hampton Comes Up Short

New Hampton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Crestwood Cadets. Unfortunately, that's the fourth time they've come up short against the Cadets this season, with their most recent defeat being a 5-2 loss on Tuesday.

New Hampton's defeat dropped their record down to 15-14. As for Crestwood, they are on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season.

New Hampton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Crestwood, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 7-3 loss against West Delaware on the 12th.
