            Softball Recap: Manchester Blue Devils vs. Hardaway Hawks        
        
		
        
        
            Manchester extended their losing streak  to four  on Thursday, dropping them down to 1-4. They lost  20-10 to the Hardaway Hawks. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Hawks this season, as they also lost their prior matchup  18-8  on Monday.
 Manchester saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Izabella Aguilar, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  triple.  Armonie Cooper also deserves some recognition as  she  got her first  hit of the season.
As for Hardaway, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 10 runs thus far.
On Hardaway's side,  Naryah Wilson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She  struck out ten batters over  four innings while giving up  four earned  (and six unearned) runs off   eight  hits. Wilson was also stellar in the batter's box,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with three  stolen bases, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 In other batting news, Hardaway got a  massive  performance out of  Daisia Crutchfield, who  got on base  in all four of her plate appearances with seven  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  Crutchfield a new career-high.  Neeraja Thomas was another key player,  getting on base  in all four of her plate appearances with seven  stolen bases, three  runs,  and three  RBI.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Manchester will face off against Brookstone at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Hardaway, they will take on Westover at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday.
