Volleyball Recap: Maryvale Comes Up Short

Maryvale was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Boulder Creek Jaguars.

Maryvale was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-18, 25-22.

Isaias Zambrano paced Maryvale's offense, picking up five kills. Zambrano got some help from Fernando Vega and his seven assists. Sebastian Cabrales Morales controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Maryvale's defeat dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Boulder Creek, they pushed their record up to 4-1 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coming up, Maryvale will take on Skyline at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Maryvale is facing Skyline at the right time seeing as Skyline is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Boulder Creek, they will face off against Westwood at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Westwood will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Boulder Creek surely won't give up without a fight.
