Softball Recap: Northside's Win on Wednesday Extends Winning Streak to Six

Northside put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Warner Robins Demons a 12-0 shutout. While the Eagles didn't have the best season last year (they finished 4-26), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Madi Burch and E'Vejia Burgman did most of the damage at the plate: Burch went 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base, while Burgman went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. That's the most hits Burch has posted since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Rheanna Burke, who earned two runs and three stolen bases.

Northside hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least three batters in three consecutive matches.

Northside's win bumped their record up to 6-0. As for Warner Robins, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-4.

Coincidentally, Northside and Warner Robins will both be playing Liberty County the next time they take the field. The Demons will host the Panthers at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Eagles will host them at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
