Basketball Recap: Alpaugh Takes a Loss

Alpaugh lost against Woodlake back in November of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Alpaugh Buffalos were beaten by the Woodlake Tigers 58-23.

Alpaugh's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashley Galindo, who posted five points along with five rebounds and three steals.

Even though they lost, Alpaugh smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 14 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 14 offensive boards in three consecutive matchups.

Alpaugh has traveled a rocky road recently having lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Woodlake, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 7-11 record.

Alpaugh has already played their next contest (against Laton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Woodlake Tigers challenge the Corcoran Panthers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
